“Attikes Diadromes SA” is the company that has assumed since 2001 the operation and maintenance of Attiki Odos, ensuring the continuous and uninterrupted smooth operation of the motorway and providing top quality services to users.
Through the Traffic Management Center (KDK) it controls and manages traffic in Attiki Odos and updates drivers for the traffic conditions on the road, via variable message signs, Twitter account @aodostraffic and radio messages. Its groups effectively intervene wherever needed, providing assistance services to vehicles and drivers, motorway maintenance and cleaning services and traffic events management services.

Need

In the framework of its ERP infrastructure for covering its needs with regard to Financial Management, Purchases Management and Warehouse Management, “Attikes Diadromes” operated three different informatics systems, two of which had been customized extensively. The combination of different informatics systems created increased complexity for the organization, with complex processes and significant management cost, with scattered information and increased delays in its collection and homogenization from various systems.
The company wanted to modernize its operation and take the next digital step, gradually unifying all processes and independent IT systems, in order to optimize its effectiveness.

Solution

For the unification of all its operations in a uniform interface, the company chose Galaxy by Epsilon SingularLogic. This is a complex project including Galaxy Enterprise ERP, Financial Management, Stock Management, Supplies Management and Galaxy Web Act, providing remote (web) registration of supplies requests to executives of all involved departments, a critical operation to ensure the motorway’s smooth operation.
