Germanos Medical Devices is one of the oldest medical devices imports company, since its establishment in 1945. It is a genuine family business, with a steady growth course through these decades and presence both in the conventional sector of medical consumables and in more specialized sectors, including Plastic Surgery, Tracheotomy products, neuropathic pain etc. It is distinguished for providing professional service to all customers. Its clientele extends all over Greece and includes public hospitals, private clinics, retail stores and private doctors and patients. The company complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and is certified with it for the proper distribution of medical items.

Need

Germanos Medical Devices searched for a modern, reliable Informatics solution, covering its business needs. Its main need was to cover the sales cycle via a user-friendly, practical and pre-configured interface for all users, responding to the complex categorization of commodities.
In addition, the following needs were present:
• Management of sales cycle and clientele communication
• Complete monitoring of item traceability
• Monitoring of sales goals and sellers bonus payments
• Automated process of new customer imports, e-shop orders, balance availability checks
• Complete customer information
• Financial Management – Online communication with myDATA
Sales – Purchases – Warehouse
• Flexible statistical information through the years and periods for strategic decision making (reporting)

Solution

Germanos Medical Devices chose Dynamics 365 CRM for its digital transformation and its ERP upgrade on Business Central – InnovEra, as well as Microsoft Power BI.

The following were deployed:
• Customized user menu and determination of required fields in all basic entities and transactions
• Tree categorization of items, utilizing the configurable fields of Dynamics 365 Business Central-Innovera
• Monitoring of warehouse materials with batches, serial numbers and barcodes
• Goal setting for sellers based on quantity or value, per item category and customer and bonus payments
• Bilateral real time communication between Dynamics 365 Business Central-Innovera and the e-shop, to ensure the expected items balance and import orders and new customers
• Bilateral real time communication between Dynamics 365 Business Central-Innovera and Dynamics 365 CRM, to record communications, meetings, orders and sales
• Viewing basic customer information through Dynamics 365 Business Central-Innovera and Dynamics 365 (e.g. Outstanding Orders, Overdue Amounts, Total Sales etc.)
• Viewing product stock via Dynamics 365 Business Central-Innovera through the order on Dynamics 365
• Automatic discount value estimation on the D365 sales cycle, based on the customer discount group on Dynamics 365 Business Central-Innovera
• Automatic VAT value estimation on the D365 sales cycle, based on the product’s VAT group on Dynamics 365 Business Central-Innovera
• Utilization of modern and innovative tools, such as Microsoft Power ΒΙ | Data visualization in real time
A multitude of financial statements for strategic decision making (P&L, cashflow etc.)
