KAVEX – GLEOUDI NIKOS TOBACCO INDUSTRIAL EXPORT SA is an innovative company in the tobacco industry in Greece, with strong activity mainly abroad.
In the framework of its needs for digital upgrade, the main goal of KAVEX SA was to optimize its business processes and automated procedures, integrating and completing various operating functions in a standardized procedure.
In order to cover is requirements, KAVEX SA proceeded to an extensive assessment of various computerized organization solutions and chose PYLON ERP, based on the unparalleled features of the PYLON platform and its 360˚ response to the needs of vertical and specialized markets – in this case in the supply chain of tobacco products.
In this context, the following were completed:
FIRST STAGE
• Smooth transition from the previous custom system
• Make to Order production – Costing with additional components (cost of technicians per receipt, warehouse peripherals, storage cost etc.)
• Tobacco receipt with independent PCs, connected to a scale and barcode printers with marking per carton or package and issuing of all tax documents at the collection site
• Information synchronization for plant receipt and all tax documents with head offices
• Receipt and control of package or carton number (with all tobacco technical attributes) at the plant site using mobile scanners
• Creation of production order and connection with packaging machines
• Consumption checks with cage scanners
• Management with carton transfer scanners
• Connection to presses to create production movement with all quality attributes
SECOND STAGE
• Deployment of new chemical laboratory functionality
• Registration of qualitative & chemical data per carton and order
• Online information provided to production executives on chemical laboratory results, on carton level, Μ.Ο. and S.T.D. per day and order
• New functionality in progress for monitoring cartons per sale document
• Integration and completion of various operating functions in a standardized procedure
• Processes automation
• Issuing of documents in external sites and data synchronization with head offices
