PharOS is a private pharmaceuticals company, producing and supplying generic drugs, offering added value services at the same time. The company has over 68 products in its portfolio and over 6,540 marketing authorizations globally.
PharOS is an interdisciplinary organization, acknowledging the specialized and varied know-how required for correct development, approval and final promotion of a pharmaceutical product. The company’s know-how covers all aspects of product development, from active ingredients supply (APIs) to market release.
PharOS has specialized human resources, over 85 professionals, focused on the development and release of high quality generic drugs and high added value pharmaceutical products, improving the lives of patients in over 62 countries.

Need

PharOS Ltd. Utilized various software applications and worksheets, in order to manage its activities. In the framework of its growth, the company sought an integrated informatics system with the following goals:
• To collect all commercial and financial information in a uniform system
• To reflect in this system commercial and financial rules, in order to improve its operation
• To apply a full project management subsystem (for active ingredients certification procedures)
• To be able to export combinational data & information and generate multifaceted reports
• To export the necessary financial statements according to the Code of Books and Elements.

Solution

In order to cover the above needs, PharOS Ltd chose Data Communication (DC) based on its high know-how and extensive experience in Dynamics 365 projects. The deployment of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV – InnovEra (ERP) business management system was selected, a solution integrating all the functionalities of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and add on subsystem InnovEra developed by DC, according to the needs of the Greek market.

The following subsystems were deployed as part of the project:

• Business Information (MIS)
Particularly for the Project Management subsystem, the requirements of PharOS Ltd. were fully covered with regard to:
• All workflows per main project or related sub-projects
• Information maintained per project
• Financial data
• Parties involved in the project
• Related tasks & assignments
• Planning, scheduling and control of project development
Related expenses and rewards and their costing
Related information can be exported to multifaceted analyses, displaying each time the necessary information for projects in development and complete projects.
The system is utilized by 20 users of the Organization.
