Electrical Materials Supply Group “PROMIL SA” was established in 2005 by commercial companies of the sector, aiming to establish a presence all over Greece and to improve their competitiveness. Today, the “PROMIL SA” Group is among the top companies in electrical materials, with a Distribution Center in Thessaloniki and 20 points of sales all over Greece.
PROMIL provides its Members and Partners with the certainty, computerized organization, digital growth and trust that they are part of a cohesive team working to achieve a common goal and facing common challenges.

Need

The primary goal of the PROMIL Group was the quickest and best possible service of its members network and the achievement of the greatest business deals. The competitive context of the Group demanded immediate optimization of its procedures. The process from a member of the group ordering commodities to retail sale to the end consumer had to be completed in the minimum possible time. The collection of financial figures for ensuring benefits from the suppliers needed to be completed within strict deadlines, in order to maximize financial benefit. The Group and its members needed to acquire common practices, a common operating model and group culture.

Solution

The PROMIL Group decided to invest on the Galaxy Enterprise ERP IT system by Epsilon SingularLogic, since it had the necessary functionalities which could support the communication infrastructure between the group and its members and it could integrate all procedures of the commercial framework associated with the electrical sector.

The solution covers the following:
• Creation of a common business model through ready computerized organization and business infrastructure for new members
• Creation of a common database maintained both by PROMIL and its members
• Electronic exchange of common data between members and the Group, without disturbing the individuality of each company
• Support of triangular transactions procedures with automated process (supplier – group – member)
• Specification of warehouse operation rules in order to reduce overstocking
• Display and control of all agreements with Group suppliers
• Introduction of benefit migration processes from suppliers to members
• Automation of communication with suppliers on pricelists and invoices/receipts
